Since Temporary Beat Locations were introduced alcohol-fuelled assaults have dropped 32 per cent in Alice Springs. House break-ins and car theft are also down. "Every crime is one too many but our targeted policies have brought crime down to some of the lowest levels since the 90s, making Alice Springs a safer place.
