ABN 37 199 580 163 Mango Movies Sponsored by The Deckchair Cinema Italy - Love it or Leave it This film probably fits into my wouldnt have gone to see it, but glad that I did category. Firstly lets face it the Deckchair Cinema is such a unique experience youll watch just about anything there. Italy - Love it or Leave It is a documentary directed by Gustav Hofer and Luca Ragazzi. Gustav and Luca embark on a trip around Italy to find answers to that very question. Gustav wants to stay in Italy and is desperately trying to seek out all that is good. Luca is highlighting all the problems their country is facing and thinks they should move to Berlin ! This movie has some very funny moments, but it is obvious there are some big problems In Italy, that the filmmakers feel the need to document. The film discusses everything from unemployment, poverty, government corruption, the degradation of women through the media and massive waste disposal crisis, just to name a few. If you think this all sounds too serious, youre wrong! This film is a very well balanced mix of information and humour managing to tell a serious story about Italy and its possible future but without making you want to slit your wrists with all the doom and gloom. I really enjoyed watching it and whos not a sucker for that expressive Italian language ? I could listen to that all day. For me.... 3 mangoes out of 5!
