The Essington School Darwin 14 General Notices Darwin Region Senior School Gala Days, Year 10 - 12 Senior students who are interested in attending any Gala Days will need to speak with Shaun Theiber to register their interest and seek notes. Community Sports Notices Notice Board In the Auditorium we have a Notice Board for all sports notices and community events. If you have any notices you would like attached to this board please drop them off at the sports office or email a copy through. Northern Territory Cricket Level 2 (Representative) Coaching Courses 2014 Northern Territory Cricket will be holding two Level 2 (Representative) Coaching Courses in 2014. One will be held in Darwin and the other held in Alice Springs. The dates have been set to coincide with the beginning of each regions cricket seasons. Darwin March 27 th to 31 st , 2014 at Marrara Cricket Ground For further information contact: Tim Sparks on 9844 8900 or tim.sparks@ntcricket.com.au Student Achievements in Sport Romy Puhalovich Badminton Star In January, Romy Puhalovich went to Albury (Victoria) and represented the Northern Territory in the Under 13s National Badminton Championships. Romy and his team participated against very strong teams in Victoria and New South Wales and had some fantastic hard fought matches. Romy was the Team Captain. He led his team to win the Regional Teams Event and brought home the gold. Romy also made some other big achievements himself in individual events as he made to the semifinals (where he came equal 3 rd ) in boys doubles (teamed up with Pascal from ACT) and finished in the top 8 (quarter finals) in boys singles. Congratulations Romy, some fantastic achievements! If your child has any great sporting achievements throughout the year please email: angela.foley@essington.nt.edu.au and this will be acknowledged in the Bulletin and on occasions at Assembly. Photos are most welcome. Every week we endeavour to include as many of our students achievements that we hear or read about. If your child is excluded from events where many of our students are involved in please email me and I will include their results the following week. Angela Foley Acting Sports Coordinator House Notices House Notices It has been a very busy week of Junior School House Sport. All Junior School students participated in Tabloid Games in the Auditorium throughout the week. A full report and scores form each year level will be in next weeks Bulletin. Thank you to Adam Gulla and Middle School and Junior School House Leaders who did a fantastic job in assisting with the running of the Junior School competition. All results will be posted up in the House noticeboard early next week. Next week Middle School students will play netball at Marrara. Year 9 students have to return a permission note for the event. The House Notice Board is located in the Auditorium. It contains information about swimming and athletics record holders, swimming and athletics and overall winning House shields, and all upcoming events.
