EcOz is fully Territory owned and operated and currently has a team of 20 local staff. EcOz offers a range of environmental consulting activities across northern and central Australia and, most recently, successfully provided the environmental approvals for the new Western Desert Resources major iron ore project in the Roper Bar region. The project reached its first milestone - first shipment of ore, in less than two years from the lodging of the first project approval applications for the development. The Environmental Impact Assessment - and all of its many and complex components - was managed and performed by EcOz. This has been a major accomplishment for the company to see these approvals go through both Territory and Commonwealth Legislation in such a short period of time. The project wasnt without hurdles and EcOz are proud of their achievements with the project given it was developed in an area that was declared a National Park during the environmental approvals stage.
