Bow Buddies and Cellophants An important part of String Class is developing and constantly monitoring good technique in holding the violin, viola or cello bow. To aid this there is a new device that will assist the student and teacher, the patented Bow Buddies or Cellophants bow accessory. It instantly positions and supports all the fingers of the bow hold. All of our string teachers highly recommend this new device as an asset in developing the young string players technique. We are delighted to advise that the school will be selling the Bow Buddies and Cellophants at a very reasonable price of $35. The Year 3 students involved in the Sting Program have been given a note about the Bow Buddies and Cellophants. If you would like to purchase a Bow Buddy or Cellophant, please return the order form to the pink tray in the Music Centre indicating your choice of accessory and the amount will be invoiced to your account by our Accounts Department. If you have not received a note, please collect one from the Music Centre Office. On Friday the 14 th February we were entertained by Misa McDonald on alto saxophone at the Junior School Assembly and Jordan-Ravi Sabaratnam on electric guitar at the Middle School Assembly. Both students set a high standard of performance for the year. If you are keen to perform at Assembly, speak to your music teacher, David Ambrose or myself, and we will gladly assist you. Leanne Bakker Music Administration Coordinator Junior School Choir What a wonderful start to Junior Choir we have had this year. It is lovely to see so many new faces and to hear the wonderful sound that you all make together. If you are interested in joining the Junior School Choir and have not yet attended or have not brought back your form, please do so by the next rehearsal which is Friday at 10:40am (straight after recess) so that we may get straight into learning our music and singing together.
