Superannuation, Industrial Awards & Contracts Effective 1 January 2010 West Arnhem Shire Council transitioned all employees to the National Local Government Industry Award 2010. On 18 February 2010 West Arnhem Shire Council introduced Locality Allowance for all new employees with the option for existing employees to transfer to Locality Allowance. During 2009 2010, the percentage of male employees increased from 42% to 55%. The percentage of female employees reduced from 58% to 45%. The ratio including CDEP participants is males 60% to females 40% In accordance with legislation, Council offers its employees a choice of whether they would like their superannuation paid to a fund of their choice or to Councils default superannuation fund LG Super (SA/NT).
