2 Dear Parents and Caregivers, I would like to express a huge thankyou to all those parents and children who have brought in donations for our school FETE. Please remember that we will collect these donations each week. There is a weekly prize of a Mufti Day for the class that brings in the most items. A special thanks to those people who have donated larger prizes for raffles and the spinning wheel. We will list all those people and companies at a later date. There will be information regarding the Fete at the back of each newsletter leading up to Friday 30th August. We will try to keep you up to date with what our wonderful Fundraising committee are planning. If you can help out in any way please contact the office and your details will be passed on to the relevant people. A reminder that we will be holding a special PD at 6pm in the Library this evening. ThinkUKnow is about Cyber Safety.and is run by our School Based Constables. There will be very important information for all families about keeping our children safe online. All parents and staff are welcome to attend this meeting. We are busily organising our swimming program for students in Year 4 -6 The proposed dates will be during week 10 of this term and will continue in week 1 of term 4. Further information and costs will be sent out in the future. Our Swimming Sports Day will be held on Friday 11th October. Our GREEN DAY will be held on Friday next week. Students are asked to wear GREEN and will participate in a range of science activities during the morning sessions in order to celebrate Science Week. A gold coin donation will be collected on Friday 16th for this event. As part of our Science Week activities we will be holding a Swap Meet to encourage recycling. This will involve students bringing toys, games and books that they do not require any more and they will be able to swap them for something else that catches their interest. We will do this at lunchtime on Friday 16th in the hall. Please discuss this with your child/ren and the importance of recycling. Yvonne Harding Acting Principal
