He will perform at this years Darwin heat. Discover your talents THE Telstra Road to Discovery is on its way to the Top End, and Territory musicians have only one more week to enter the Darwin performer category heat. The Darwin heat take place at Mindil Beach Markets from 67.30pm on Thursday, September 5. Entries close on August 15. The 2012 winner, Andrew Redford, will perform at the event. This year Telstra has partnered with international superstars Bon Jovi to create an opportunity for selected finalists to be involved in the bands Because We Can Australian tour in December. The winner of the Darwin heat will also join 16 other hopefuls from across the country at a three-day music mentoring boot camp in Sydney in October, where they will gain an insight into the music business and rub shoulders with some of the industrys most influential figures. Telstra Road to Discovery served as the launch pad for Jessica Mauboy in 2003. As well as the Bon Jovi opportunity, the ultimate winner and one songwriter winner will each receive a 12-month music mentorship. Entries for the digital heat and songwriter category close on September 5, 2013.
