(KVW[PVUVM(ZZLZZTLU[ THAT pursuant to Section 149 of the Act, Council adopts the Unimproved Capital Value method as the basis of the assessed value of allotments within the Palmerston Municipality. THAT the valuations as supplied by the Valuer-General being the most recent valuations available to Council for rateable purposes, making a total value of $2,891,641,506 be adopted by Council for rating purposes for the UHUJPHS`LHYLUKPUN1\UL *(990,+ +LJSHYH[PVUVM9H[LZ THAT pursuant to Sections 155-156 of the Local Government Act, Council declares that it intends to raise, for general purposes by way of rates, the amount of $14,993,309 which will be raised by the application of a combination of differential valuationbased charges (differential rates) with minimum charges (minimum amounts) being payable in application of each VM [OVZL KPMMLYLU[PHS YH[LZ HUK H _LK JOHYNL H H[ YH[L MVY [OL UHUJPHS `LHYLUKPUN1\ULHZMVSSV^Z! (a) In respect of all rateable land within the municipality zoned SD Single Dwelling Residential, MD Multiple Dwelling Residential, MR Medium Density Residential, HR High Density Residential, CV Caravan Parks, RR Rural Residential, RL Rural Living and R Rural under the Northern ;LYYP[VY`7SHUUPUN:JOLTLHH[YH[L VMT\S[PWSPLKI`! (i) the number of separate allotments PUJS\KPUNWHY[Z H[ZVY\UP[Z [OH[ are subject to separate occupation (pursuant to section 147(2)(a) of the Act) on each parcel of rateable land in this part of the municipality; or (ii) the number 1; whichever is greater. (b) In respect of that class of rateable land within the municipality which is primarily used for sport and recreation purposes, being those HSSV[TLU[ZSPZ[LKILSV HH[YH[LVM ! 9H[LWH`LY Lot No (KKYLZZ Top End Motorcross Club Inc -Lot 4185 Catalina Road, Marlow Lagoon Palmerston Pistol Club Inc - Lot 4187 Vaney Road, Archer Palmerston Golf & Country Club Inc Lot 2884 Dwyer Cir Driver Palmerston Golf & Country Club Inc - Lot 11025 Unknown Street Durack Palmerston Cricket Club Inc - Lot 4626 Woodroffe Ave, Woodroffe Palmerston Rugby Union Club Inc - Lot 4184Bonson Tce, Moulden Palmerston Game Fishing Club Inc - Lot 5850 Catalina Rd, Marlow Lagoon (c) In respect of all rateable land within the part of the municipality zoned LI Light Industry, GI General Industry and DV Development under the Northern Territory Planning Scheme, a differential rate of 0.165704% of the assessed value of such land with minimum amounts being payable in the application of that differential YH[LILPUNT\S[PWSPLKI`! (i) the number of separate parts or units that are adapted for separate occupation or use (pursuant to section 148(4) of the Act) on each allotment; or (ii) the number 1; whichever is greater. *V\UJPSJVUZPKLYZ! all self storage units not intended for residential use in the municipality of Palmerston that are contained on a single parcel (ie, strata titled) to be small allotments for the purposes of ZLJ[PVUIVM[OL(J[!HUK that an inequity would result if the minimum amount declared in respect of rateable land within Zone LI Light Industry, GI General Industry and DV Development were applied to these small allotments, and accordingly, Council declares a differential rate of 0.394527% of the assessed value of such land with minimum amounts being payable in the application of that differential rate, being $300.00 to be payable in respect of each VM[OLZLZTHSSHSSV[TLU[ZT\S[PWSPLKI`! (iii) the number of separate parts or units that are adapted for separate occupation or use (pursuant to section 148(4) of the Act) on each allotment; or (iv) the number 1; whichever is greater. (d) In respect of all rateable land within the municipality not otherwise described above, a differential rate of 0.681415% of the assessed value of such land with minimum amounts being payable in the application of that differential rate, being $550.00 T\S[PWSPLKI`! (d) In respect of all rateable land within the municipality not otherwise described above, a differential rate of 0.685735% of the assessed value of such land with minimum amounts being payable in the application of that differential rate, being $550.00 T\S[PWSPLKI`! (i) the number of separate parts or units that are adapted for separate occupation or use (pursuant to section 148(4) of the Act) on each allotment; or (ii) the number 1; whichever is greater. *(990,+ Alderman Bunker called for a division as a consequence the result of the above decision was set aside.
