In June 1986, the Jabiru Twon Development Authority commissioned the Water Resources Group of the NT Power and Water Authority to undertake a groundwater supply assessment of the region. The objectives were to determine the long term sustainable production capacity of the existing borefield and assess the prospects of further supply development within the region about the existing bores.,
