Description

Back view. Gillian Hunter's house was amongst the first six houses built in Batchelor by the mining company, Territory Enterprises, back in the 50's. All six houses where built on piers and identical. Trevor Miller, who did the survey work, personally supervised the preparation of the housing sites so that only those trees which had to be removed, were, in marked contrast to the 1960 Darwin construction process. Gillian bought No 1, Naranga Street in the early 90's after the previous owner had completed substantial renovations, adding an extra bedroom and decking around the house. Gillian keeps her house in a pristine state at all times as seen in the images, which adds to its tropical appeal. This house is by far one of Batchelor's most beautiful heritage listed homes and is surrounded by a breath takingly beautiful tropical garden.,
