His Christmas album sold 31,218 copies last week, up from just under 20,000 the week before. Bubles album outsold his closest rival, P!nk, by two to one. Christmas is back at No. 1 on the iTunes chart in the deluxe version a repack aged version including several new songs not on the original release. The standard version is sitting at No. 3 on iTunes. Bubles album went five times platinum last Christmas, registering sales of more than 350,000. Every decade or so we see that one Christmas album that appeals across generations and continues to come back each season, Paul Cashmere of music website Noise11 said. Buble has selected the perfect platter of Christmas tunes that epitomises the season. Also being festive in the iTunes top 10 are Rod Stewarts Merry Christmas, Baby (which features Buble) and Mariah Careys Merry Christmas album. Beautiful, but baffling US: An incomprehensible answer may have boosted Miss Venezuela into third place of the Miss Universe quest one place ahead of Australias contender. Irene Sofia Esser Quintero was asked what new law she might make and answered: I think that any leys there are in Constitution or in life, are already made. I think that we should have, uh, a straight way to go in our similar, or, eh, in our lives as is this. For example, Im a surfer, and I think that the best wave that I can take is the wave that I wait for it. So please do our only, eh, law that we can do. Thank you Vegas! She scored a zero, but still managed to finish ahead of Australias Renae Ayris. Lees loudXmas Christopher Lee LONDON: The Hobbit star Sir Christopher Lee is giving fans a festive treat by releasing Christmas songs with a heavy metal twist. The 90-year-old actor, who reprises his Lord of the Rings role of Saruman in the latest film set in Middle-earth, has dabbled in heavy metal during the last few years. Lee has recorded several of his own albums and worked with bands including Rhapsody of Fire and Manowar, as well as Judas Priest star Richie Faulkner. A classically trained singer, he is now offering up a collection of holiday songs, including heavy metal covers of Little Drummer Boy and Silent Night. The festive tracks, titled A Heavy Metal Christmas, will be available via online retailer iTunes. Dolly flashes tatt LONDON: Absolutely Fabulous star Jennifer Saunders has described how country singer Dolly Parton flashed her Titians at her during dinner. The actress told chatshow host Graham Norton she met the famously buxom 9 To 5 singer while she was on a night out with Roseanne Barr. I was in a restaurant with Roseanne Barr. Dolly was there and talking about tattoos, Saunders said. She winked at us and said This will go no further and then undid her top and there were her tits and she has the most exquisite tattoos angels and butterflies. They are the most divine . . . Titian-like drawings, she said. You look like you dont believe me but I kid you not. Although I did wake up in the morning and thought that couldnt have happened. But it did. Adele is top entertainer UK: She didnt have a new album or a worldwide tour in 2012, but Adeles still rolling. After a year of Grammy glory and James Bond soundtracking, Adele has been voted The Associated Press Entertainer of the Year. In 132 ballots submitted by members and subscribers of the AP, Adele easily outpaced other vote-getters such as Taylor Swift, Fifty Shades of Grey author E.L. James, the South Korean viral video star Psy and the cast of Twilight. Editors and broadcasters cast their ballot for the person who had the most influence on entertainment and culture in 2012. Swiftmove tomeet themums LOS ANGELES: Taylor Swifts romance with One Direction star Harry Styles is heating up the country singer has introduced the Brit to her mum. The young couple sparked rumours of a blossoming romance in November after Swift was spotted holding hands with the boy band star backstage at US reality show The X Factor in Hollywood. They have since gone public with their relationship, enjoying a trip to New York Citys Central Park Zoo and hanging out at radio station Z100s Jingle Ball concert before visiting his native England, where she celebrated her 23rd birthday last week. Reports suggest the Love Story singer was introduced to Styles mum during their UK visit and now Swift has followed suit by taking him back to Los Angeles to meet her mother Andrea.
