The Peter Donnolleytrained speedster produced a super run to win by four lengths over 383m seven days ago and, while he drops back in trip for this assignment, will be hard to toss from box one. But he meets a smart field of performers, including veteran customer Jens Love, who is chasing career win No. 30 at start 96. Jens Love went down narrowly in her last meeting with Just Proper on November 30 and gets the chance to stalk him from box two. Got The Look, Admiral Cairo, Cast Iron Cake and Daddy Kewell round out the field for the feature event on the five-race program. Interest surrounds the per formance of newcomer El Hinto in the Sportingbet Sprint (537m). Trainer Rob Brennan has recently obtained the son of El Galo, who boasts a 460m maiden win at Warragul in September on his resume. El Hinto has drawn box five for the race containing consistent customer Messi Boy along with last-start winners Rocky Rebel and Dyna Brenda. Mufasa may ensure Graham Ferns wraps up the trainer of the year title ahead of Ron Phillips. Ferns leads the way on 55 winners for the season four clear of Phillips, who does have the talented Princess India in action early on the program. The racing action kicks off from 7.39pm and will be broadcast through Radio TAB. Territorian Joel Carroll will again be joined by cousin Des Abbott in next years Kookaburras squad Picture: GETTY IMAGES Territory stars prove key for Kookaburras HOCKEY By JESSWEBSTER TERRITORY duo Joel Carroll and Des Abbott will join forces for the Kookaburras again after being included in Australias 2013 national hockey squad. Carroll, 26, has enjoyed a breakout year which included bronze at the London Olympics, player of the International Hockey 9s Super Series and a member of Australias record fifth consecutive Champions Trophy title this week. Carolls cousin Abbott, also 26, has endured a tough year with injury and missed both the London Olympics and Champions Trophy campaigns. But the world-class striker is set to return to for the Kookaburras first World League matches in June. The Kookaburras 30-player squad includes 15 out of the 16 Olympic bronze medallists from the London Games, following goalkeeper Nathan Burgers decision to retire. Up-and-coming Territory goalkeeper Leon Hayward, 21, has been rewarded for his tenacity and persistence with another selection in the national development squad. Hayward will be looking to make his international debut in 2013.
