Sister Heather Graham worked as a bush nurse in the Top End from 1964 to 1969. She was initially a Survey Sister, driving alone in 4WD to remote cattle stations, then joined Dr Helen Phillipps as the first School Nurse. Sister Graham introduced audiometry and hearing aids for the children in the bush, organised the distribution of the Sabin vaccine, and assisted Dr Helen Phillipps with ear, nose and throat concerns in the absence of ENT specialists. This story was documented in 2003 when material was being gathered for "Top End Nurses" by Jillian Moore. Sister Graham passed away in Adelaide during January 2013.,
