LaurenciapresentedonthetensuicidedeathsthatoccurredacrossCentralAustraliain2007 toinformthecommitteeoftheresponsemodelanditseffectiveness. ChristinePalmerattendedtheMay2008meetingfromCAACtodiscussthesupportgroup beingprovidedtoAboriginalwomenwholostchildrentosuicide Wealwayspresentthisinformationinawaythatinvitesfeedbackfromthecommitteesothattheycan offerinsightsabouthowthingsmightworkbetterinthelocalcontext. 2)Createaninformationloopaboutfundsandresources Weprovidedthecommitteewithinformationabout: theupdatedBereavedbySuicideSupportPack, TheupdatedNationalSuicidePreventionFramework thedistributionofFederalGovernmentfundingtothementalhealthsector, thedevelopmentofSuicideStoryLPPresourceforIndigenouscommunities 3)Defineandpromotebestpracticeforourregion Wealsospenttimediscussingthesystemsinplacetorespondwhenthereisadeathbysuicideand whenapersonisatriskofsuicideandhoweffectivethesesystemsareandhowmighttheybe improved.
