TheBalanceSheetreportsMHACAtohavecurrentassetsof$785,919,mainlycashatbank,of $725,261,receivablesof$60,658andaprepaidbondforournewpremisesof$7,333.Noncurrent assetsof$642,885whichcomprisesofresidentialunits$534,916,plantandequipment$55,297, motorvehicles$52,172(allamountsarewrittendownvalues)andsharesinBendigoBankatcostof $500.Currentliabilitiesare$470,411whichincludestheunexpendedgrantsof$278,905andgrants inadvanceof$80,000.CreditorsandProvisionstotal$111,506,andnoncurrentliabilitiestotal $10,073beingprovisionforlongserviceleave. TheauditedBalanceSheetreportsMHACAtobeinahealthyfinancialpositionat30June2008. Statementoffinancialperformance Grantincomeincreasedfrom$945,689lastyearto$1,108,482thisyear.Otherincomefrom externalsourceswas: Bankinterest $46,142 Fundraisingactivities $1,283 Rentandrecoveredcosts $44,837 Membershipfees $929 TrainingIncome $6,955 Otherincome $3,645 ServiceActivity2Governance Thenumberofcommitteemeetingsasatrendovertimeandthepercentageof memberswhoattend TheCommitteeisthegoverningbodyofMHACA.TheMHACAadministrationprovidessupportto themanagementcommitteebyprovidingqualityinformationtoenablememberstomakeinformed decisions.Thissupportincludesthedistributionofpapersinatimelymannerformembersto considerandparticipate. ConsumerMentoring Anindependentmentoringsupportpersonisavailabletoconsumerrepresentatives.Thisisto supportanddeveloptheirskillsandenablethememberstoparticipate. Aseparatemeetingisheld priortothecommitteemeetingwiththementorandconsumerrepresentativestodiscusspaperwork andanypointsneedingtoberaised.
