Christmas Hamper RaffleChristmas Hamper RaffleChristmas Hamper RaffleChristmas Hamper Raffle Thank you to those families who have donated items towards our Christmas Hamper Raffle, It would be very much appreciated if each family could donate a small item towards the raffle. You can hand donations to your childs teacher or drop them off at the front office. Raffle ticket books, one per family, will be sent home this week and more books are available in the front office. The Raffle will be drawn on 7 December at the Awards Assembly. Preparing to Post Out I have been on leave for the past four weeks as I completed another pre-service placement for my teaching qualification. Id like to thank Rachel Dolan, for holding the fort whilst I was away. Im sure she did a fabulous job. Many families at Wanguri are getting set to post out, which can be an unsettling time for children. Leaving friends behind and having to make new ones at a new school can be challenging. I will be in touch with our Defence families who are moving soon to make sure we support your children appropriately as they make another transition in their schooling. Having been to 11 schools myself as the daughter of an Air Force officer (including several schools overseas), I can certainly empathise with your children. Please see me if you have any particular concerns about your child. Becky Layton Defence School Transition Aide Donations of Bottles and Cans Years 3-6 would very much appreciate donations of clean, not sharp, cans (canned tomatoes size) and clean small glass jars, no labels or lids please. I would also appreciate donations of any puzzles with lost pieces and loose puzzle pieces. Thank you Mara Dobrini
