Cliffhanger in Housewives trial LOS ANGELES: A lastminute bombshell hit the Desperate Housewives trial yesterday with claims ABC tried to cover up plans to fire the shows former star Nicollette Sheridan. Lawyers for Sheridan said an unnamed ABC employee would testify executives ordered the computer hard drives of producers be wiped just after Sheridan filed a $6 million lawsuit. She claims she was fired after an on-set altercation with show creator, Marc Cherry. Her lawyer Mark Baute said the employee had just come forward and he was very nervous and very reluctant. Judge Elizabeth Allen White has set a hearing to decide if the witness will be allowed to testify. Defence lawyers for ABC and Cherry objected to the last-minute witness. STARS GUILTYPLEA CAIRNS: The Straits star Aaron Faaoso has pleaded guilty to damaging a cash register at a far north Queensland nightclub. Faaoso, 36, was charged with drunk and disorderly conduct, and wilful damage over the incident at The Heritage in Cairns on October 16. He appeared in Cairns Magistrates Court yesterdaywhere he pleaded guilty to both charges. The matter was adjourned until April 23 for a plea hearing. KYLEBOOKDEAL SYDNEY: Radio shock-jock Kyle Sandilands has confirmed he will write an autobiography to be released in time for Christmas. I have a book deal but I havent done anything yet, he told a caller to his 2DAY FM radio show on Monday. I dont think Ive even read a book since Year 8. He said the book would cover all the scandals.
