CONFIDENTIAL P16-17 2 men abduct, molest girl, 15 BREAKING NEWS A 15-YEAR-OLD girl was dragged off the street in a Darwin suburb and sexually assaulted in a car. She was walking along Bougainvilia St in Nightcliff when one or two men pulled her into the back of a darkcoloured four-wheel-drive, similar to a LandCruiser 80 series between 3pm and 3.30pm yesterday. She was sexually assaulted. A short time later she was dumped on nearby Hickory St and her parents and raised the alarm. Sex Crimes Unit Detective Senior Sergeant Scott Manley said she was significantly traumatised after the assault. He said police were patrolling and canvassing the area for information. The victim was described as having shoulder-length dark hair, wearing a black shirt and a light grey skirt with small floral patterns. Anyone who saw her or the 4WD is urged to contact police on 131 444. Follow ntnews.com.au today for updates Emma Petersen and her daughter Jordyn were the lucky recipients of a pay it forward gesture Picture: DANIEL HARTLEY-ALLEN Dazzled by random acts of kindness PREGNANT mum Emma Petersen didnt know the man who strode up to her at a Darwin shopping mall and handed her a white bucket. He said it looks like Id need the contents soon OK, weird (and) then wandered off to continue on his way, the 27-year-old Palmerston woman said. Little did she know it, as she watched him walk off, she just became victim to a covert and random phenomenon in the Territory. Strangers doing nice stuff for you, just for the dangheck of it. We opened the bucket and it was full of baby products, Ms Petersen said. Wipes, bibs, nappy bags, a bottle, sippy cup, a new parents Curash pack and heaps more. She and her mate chased after him and asked him what was going on. He said some people give to charities. This is what he does. This is his thing, Ms Petersen said. The one-off surprise turned into something hinting of a Hollywood movie (reminiscent of Pay it Forward where a boys kindness sparks a movement) when she posted her experience on Facebook. (I wanted) to let people know there are still some nice, genuine, thoughtful people out there, Ms Petersen said. The response Ive had has been amazing. I had a few people tell me their experience. Someone gave a lady with a newborn some clothes while she was at Casuarina. A few people have had their meal paid for in Mac cas drivethrough. Another lady showed kindness to a homeless lady. Another one told me about her young kids helping an older couple with their groceries in a Coles carpark. Ms Petersen said she wanted people to know there were feelgood stories out there. And she also wanted to send a thanks to the man with the white bucket. Kill-threat man arrested A MAN on the run for allegedly threatening to kill a pregnant womans unborn baby before bashing her has been arrested. Jamie Donyea Schmidt, 37, who was on the Territorys most-wanted list, was arrested in Adelaide. Detectives arrested him in Morphett Vale after he had fled the Territory. Police allege Mr Schmidt threatened to kill the 20-year-old womans baby before attacking her.
