Volunteer of the Year Citation for Alison Sadowski Each year Northern Suburbs Cluster Sport presents a Volunteer of the Year Certificate. The winner of the 2011 Volunteer of the Year Award for Northern Suburbs Cluster Sport is Alison Sadowski. Ms Sadowski has been involved with School Sport for many years, even before she arrived at Wanguri School. In her time at this school she has organised interschool sport days for younger children, therefore not only providing sport opportunities for students from this school but also for students from other schools in our Cluster. Many of the upper students of Wanguri and those who have moved onto Middle School have had the opportunity to compete in Northern Suburbs Cluster Days because Ms Sadowski has done all the organising for this school to attend. Ms Sadowski has then volunteered as manager of Northern Suburbs Cluster teams who have competed at SSNT events. She organised fundraising for these events as well as being at all the selections and trainings, all in her own time. The next step was for her to be Manager of the SSNT teams that travelled interstate to represent the NT. A very large task indeed. Students and staff of Wanguri should be justly proud of the additional work that Alison has taken on to ensure students from her school have had the opportunity to be actively engaged in sport. Northern Suburbs Cluster Sport can only provide sport opportunities for students because of people like Ms Sadowski. On behalf of students, parents and staff THANK YOU, Ms Alison Sadowski, for your contribution to the Northern Suburbs Cluster Sport program.
