Brennan gave a pointer to things to come when When Quoted denied $2.60 favourite Charge Me in the Water Dynamics Dash (383m). When Quoted paid $7.60 for the win on TattsBet, but that was surpassed as hardy campaigner Benzino saluted in the QBE Insurance Dash (383m). Money suggested Minu Bale, Semper Fidels and Azura Spirit would be in the finish, but it was Benzino ($9.20) who outlasted roughie Slow Jordan to land a memorable triumph. While favourite backers were stung by those results, they were smiling when Congo Man lived up to his billing in the Di-Core Drilling Dash (312m). Jimmy Osbornes smart speedster started at the somewhat generous odds of $2.40 and his followers were smiling when he beat Choc Drink. Jens Love returned to the winners circle for Graham Ferns in the Winnellie Hotel Dash (312m), while India Talk broke through for a deserved maiden victory in the Avis Dash (312m). India Talk had finished runner-up in three of her four career starts but went one better with a dominant display for trainer Ron Phillips. GREGORMACTAGGART Adebisi gives Forster greatest career thrill DOOMBEN: Desleigh Forster enjoyed the greatest moment of her seven-year racing career when spring discovery Adebisi claimed the Group 3 George Moore Stakes yesterday. Adebisi ($18) led all the way to hold off a determined challenge from Latin News ($6.50) for a half-length win in the 1200m feature. Spirit Of Boom ($16) ran his best race this campaign, finishing two lengths away in third. Forster, who learned her trade as a foreman for Melbourne trainer Peter Moody, fought back her emotions after Adebisi once again defied his critics. The four-year-old son of Shovhog is now unbeaten in his two starts since being gelded. Dont ever underestimate this bloke, Forster said. I dont like being rude but hes come back a better horse two stone lighter. Adebisis victory took his career record to six wins from 21 starts. Forster will let the dust settle following the excitement of her first Group win before deciding on Adebisis future. Id like to run him in the Goldmarket Handicap but theres also the (Listed) Lough Neagh Stakes in two weeks, she said. Ive won a few Listed races before but its a good feeling to finally win a Group 3. Hes had a lot of knockers before and hasnt deserved it. Schofields reign Father, son land winning doubles Chad Schofield and his father Glyn both rode doubles at Rosehill yesterday Picture: SAM RUTTYN ROSEHILL: Chad Schofield, Sydneys leading apprentice, was not about to be upstaged by his well-known father Glyn yesterday. As dad rode a winning double on Sea Galleon in the Christmas Cup and Titbit in the Tony and Manera Lahood Handicap, Chad answered with two winners of his own. The teenage riding sensation was lauded for his winning rides on Wazn (Cromford Group Handicap) and New Day Rising (De Bortoli Wines Welter). It seemed like the Schofield clan rode half the program on the eight-race card. Chad Schofield was riding for the final time as a 3kg apprentice and his allowance certainly helped the heavily backed Wazn ($4.60 favourite) run down One Way Ticket to win by a head, with Regal Banter third. Schofield, 17, said he was not daunted by having his claim reduced to 2kg from today. It is only one kilo difference and I hope the improvement in my riding will make up for that, the apprentice said. Im going into a new phase in my career and Im looking forward to the challenge. Both Schofields are leading the Sydney premierships. Glyn is the front-runner in the jockeys title with 26 wins, while Chad is on top of the apprentices table with 19 wins. Trainer Chris Waller is an unabashed admirer of the two. They are both very good riders, Waller said. Its why I think Chad will kick on and have a very successful riding career. Like his father, Chad is an out-and-out horseman. For some jockeys, it takes 20 years to learn it, but Chad has it bred into him. The Schofields won two races for Waller. Hugh Bowman completed the trainers hat-trick with his win on King Gladiator. Glyn Schofield narrowly missed a hat-trick of his own when favourite Rocker was edged out by So So Sure in the TAB BIG6 Handicap (1200m).
