Department of Construction and Infrastructure Annual Report 2010-2011 15 Branch Profiles Infrastructure Services Infrastructure Services provides strategic and policy advice on infrastructure planning, energy management and capital works project definition. The branch is focused on ensuring government project development is well coordinated, delivered at optimal life cycle cost, supports best practice and underpins a viable and sustainable local design and construction industry. Infrastructure Services is working hard to implement a new whole-of-government IT system to acquire and manage assets, the Asset Management System (AMS). Infrastructure Services comprises the AMS Project Unit, the Specification Services Unit and Infrastructure Development Unit.
