Department of Construction and Infrastructure Annual Report 2010-2011 22 Branch Profiles Corporate Services Corporate Services is responsible for the delivery of efficient and effective corporate services through a mix of internal and external service provider arrangements to the department. Corporate Services leads a diverse unit of many disciplines including: Financial Services - maintains and prepares DCI financial statements, taxation requirements and manages budgets. Program Management - provides programming management services for Capital Works, Minor Works and Repairs and Maintenance for most Government Agencies in the Northern Territory. Information and Business System - provides the department with administrative support and strategic advice on Information Technology, Agency Business Systems, Records Management and Freedom of Information. Human Resources and Organisational Development - provides advice and guidance on employee/employer legislative requirements and develops initiatives to maintain a healthy workforce. Procurement Services - provides a broad range of operational and strategic procurement advice and services to all staff across the agency. Legal Services - outsourced from the Department of Justice, Legal Services provides the department with legal advice and representation in relation to claims/negotiations and assists with procurement and drafting documentation, such as contracts or special conditions. Tennant Creek, Corporate Services - provides the region and Regional Director with corporate and administrative support to achieve departmental goals across its broad area of responsibility. Corporate Communications - The Corporate Communications team provides strategic advice and a broad range of communications services, including media, marketing and web. The agency has introduced a green fleet strategy as part of NT Governments commitment to reducing CO2 emissions.
