Department of Construction and Infrastructure Annual Report 2010-2011 27 Corporate Governance Chief Executive Alan Wagner Alan Wagner is an outcome-driven leader focused on developing a flexible, innovative and responsive department. In 2010-11, Alan coordinated the Northern Territorys Capital Works program, delivering thousands of key projects for Territorians. With a background in project and strategic asset management, Alan aims to continue the departments program of quality improvement and has already devolved accountability for project delivery to the regions. Deputy Chief Executive, Strategic Projects and Client Services Mike Chiodo Mike Chiodo is a pivotal member of the Executive Team, having overseen massive growth in project delivery over the last three years. As a result of that growth, the Department of Construction and Infrastructure was created as a stand alone agency. Now the Director of Strategic Projects and Client Services, Mike is committed to delivering iconic projects that will leave a legacy for the NT community, boosting Indigenous employment and creating a highly qualified, professional team that will continue to deliver high quality infrastructure. Executive Director, Civil Construction Bob Pemble Bob Pemble is our longest serving member of the Executive Team, having joined the department in 1982. A construction engineer at heart, Bob loves to spend time out in the field. During his time in the Territory, he has overseen the duplication of our major highways such as the Stuart, Victoria and Barkly into the dual-lane roads they are today. In addition to his day-to-day role, Bob has been a representative on Austroads working groups ensuring the Territory has input into national roads issues Executive Director, Infrastructure Services Cate Lawrence Cate Lawrence is the driving force behind DCIs transition towards an Asset Management System (AMS), having first identified the need for greater financial transparency of government assets when she joined the team nine years ago. Cate has extensive knowledge of Northern Territory infrastructure and the challenges of working in remote environments. She prides herself on flexibility and encourages her staff to maintain a work-life balance.
