The Workshop Coordinator is responsible for the YBE preventative maintenance program and stores department. Reporting to the Operations Manager the key responsibilities are to: 1. Co-ordinate the maintenance and stores departments to ensure work is completed in a safe and efficient manner, maximizing machine availability for all production areas. 2. Ensure work procedures are developed and implemented in consultation with the Shift Supervisors / Leading Hands. 3. Ensure compliance and implement YBE's Environment, Health, Safety and Community Management Systems. 4. Monitor the maintenance and inspection requirements of all YBE plant and equipment to provide maximum availability and reliability required to meet departmental operational needs 5. Forecast, schedule and budget planned maintenance shut downs and equipment rebuilds. 6. Co-ordinate and lead an enthusiastic team of workshop personnel providing a safe and efficient workplace. The successful applicant will possess: Self-motivated and hands on, with a strong focus on safety and dedication to following policy and procedures. Mechanical background with extensive industry experience in heavy machinery. Relevant trade qualifications, knowledge and experience. Extensive experience in identification, sourcing and effective delivery of parts. Ability to schedule maintenance requirements whilst considering budgets and operational requirements. Highly developed interpersonal, supervisory, leadership, team building and communication skills. Well developed skills in work planning and process improvement. Ability to work as part of a multi disciplinary team and contribute to team outcomes.
