The HREC reviews research projects undertaken by CDU staff and students which involve humans. The University is seeking applications from persons who are: interested in ethical issues involving humans and research in the area of social sciences, and prepared to express their views, not affi liated with the University, and not currently involved in medical, scientifi c, legal or academic work. The Committee meets seven times each year, during business hours. Whilst members receive no remuneration, the experience can be interesting and rewarding. The Committee comprises an equal representation of males and females, and currently requires a male applicant to fi ll this particular position. Applications should include a brief explanation of why you are interested in joining the Committee and what you believe you can contribute.
