Centralian Advocate, Friday, December 18, 2009 45 PUBLIC NOTICES PUBLIC NOTICES Call for Expressions of Interest (EOI) NT NRM Community Grants The Natural Resource Management Board (NT) is offering $630,000 over two grant programs to address priority NRM targets in the Northern Territory. The programs have a strong focus on practical outcomes. If your community group wants to maintain or increase its capacity to contribute to natural resource management within these priority target areas you may be eligible for one of the following community grants. Local Grants Funds of up to $20,000 (ex GST) are being made available through the Local Grants Program. Projects funded under the Local Grants Program will have until December 2010 to complete their project objectives. Landscape Grants Funds of up to $50,000 (ex GST) are being made available through the Landscape Grants Program for funding of projects which target priority coastal and aquatic ecosystems. Projects funded under the Landscape Grants Program will have until June 2011 to complete their project objectives. For both programs, priority targets and areas have been identified. Coordinated and multiyear proposals are encouraged. The Grant Application Process A short Expression of Interest (EOI) is sought outlining your proposal. This will be evaluated against eligibility criteria as set out in the Introduction to NT NRM Community Grants document available from the website or contact number below. Full funding applications will be by invitation based on evaluation of submitted Expressions of Interest. Regional NRM facilitators will be available to provide support in preparing this. Due Date & Project Commencement Expressions of Interest need to be submitted by 31 January, 2010. Full applications will be due by 28 February 2010 with projects commencing 1 April 2010.
