Applications are invited from persons with special interest in the following positions: MANAGER Treatment Section Applicants must have qualifications and experience in the provision of effective, quality alcohol treatment services to clients are required. Applicants should also have qualifications in counselling. Managerial, organisational and administrative experience is essential, as is an NT drivers licence. WEEKEND COOK (12 hours over weekend) Must have experience in providing balanced, nutritious meals. Must also have the ability to plan, maintain a kitchen in hygienic conditions, and have proven reliability in work attendance and punctuality. Weekend Work/Expressions of Interest Carers require an aptitude for counselling, flexibility and initiative. First Aid skills, and understanding of Aboriginal culture and a local language are desirable. Must also have proven reliability in attending work and an ability to get on well with people who have difficult problems. 2 x COUNSELLORS Outreach Section & Treatment Sections Applicants must have qualifications in the field of counselling, social work or equivalent, with special reference to alcohol and other drugs. Experience in counselling Aboriginal people and awareness of and sensitivity to Aboriginal culture are also required. CLEANER Applicants must have skills and experience in cleaning large premises, maintaining linen inventories, ordering supplies and ensuring linen is laundered. Duties also include maintaining all cleaning equipment. PROGRAMS MANAGER Applicants must have a recognised tertiary qualification in the area of management and finance, and a minimum of two years proven experience in alcohol/drug service delivery and management. As our clients are predominantly Aboriginal, applicants will need to demonstrate an understanding of contemporary Aboriginal social circumstances and a willingness to work beside and train Aboriginal workers.
