Appendices 195 Appendix F - Internal Committees Occupational Health & Safety Steering Committee This committee is chaired by the CE, with representation across the agency including Katherine and Alice Springs. The committee considers reports from all workplace OH&S committees and determines OH&S policy. Equal Employment Opportunity Committee (EEO) This committee is chaired by Ian Low, Regional Director Alice Springs, and is responsible for formulating strategies to promote a workforce reflective of the bio diversity of the community. Senior Officers Forum This quarterly forum, chaired by the CE, provides senior officers within the organisation the opportunity to meet and discuss strategic and topical issues. Capability Development Group This committee is chaired by the GM(HR) and is responsible for all matters relating to the ongoing development of staff including policy, suitability, coordination and evaluation of training programs and recommending priorities for an annual training plan to Executive. Essentiality Committee This committee is chaired by the Director HR Bureau Services and is responsible for reviewing submissions for the filling of temporary (over six weeks) and permanent vacancies prior to any recruitment action. Deliberations of the committee consider placement of re-deployees, internal unattached employees and organisational need to back fill positions. Audit Committee This committee is chaired by the CE and is a critical component of the corporate governance framework. Information Management Committee This committee is chaired by the CE and is the decision-making forum on information and technology related issues within the Department, including monitoring the information management strategy and review and prioritisation of technology solutions. Finance Process Improvement Steering Committee This committee oversees the implementation of a number of process improvements, which are aimed at producing greater efficiencies in service delivery to clients. Alumni Group This group, chaired by the CE, consists of graduates of the Executive Development Program and the Public Sector Management Course. The group is convened to incubate, critique and/or brainstorm significant issues of a corporate nature. e-Government Steering Committee This committee chaired by the CE, overseas the implementation of egovernment initiatives. The committee addresses implementation from both a DCIS perspective and from a whole of government perspective where it has the lead agency responsibility. Internet Development Working Group The group, made up of branch content publishers, is chaired by the Manager Executive Support and is responsible for the ongoing strategic development of DCIS Intranet/Internet sites.
