With the termination date in mind, DCIS IT Service Management approached the marketplace with a revised request tender in February 2004. As a result, the contract was awarded to a new service provider, CSG Services Pty Ltd with a start date of 1 July 2004 and transition to be completed by 30 October 2004. The contract is valued at approximately $20m over five years. The graph shows the comparative cost of the messaging component of the contract (core services) together with the number of messages over the last four years. Core services are capped, however the cap was increased in 2003/04 to accommodate improvements in infrastructure. Message volume increased by 4% on the previous year. ICT Applications Services (Formerly Non-Mainframe Applications Development and ICT Project and Consulting Services) ICT Applications Services provides for application development, project management, and general IT consultancy services. There are 18 companies which form the panel contract. The contract commenced 15 December 2003 for a period of 2 years with the option for a further two by 12 month extensions. The graph shows the number of non- mainframe contracts awarded where the value is greater than $10,000 and the value of contracts awarded over each of the last four years. The value of contracts awarded continues to trend down together with a significant decrease in the number of contracts awarded.
