The trial has proved most successful for both small and large jobs and is now being promoted to all agencies as a viable alternative to in-house copying requirements. The need for the service was identified during customer surveys. The volume of printing and publishing outsourced from the GPO to the panel of pre-qualified printers increased during the year from budgeted 18% to 26% of gross annual GPO print sales. Several major full colour tourism projects accounted for the percentage increase in outsourced job value.
