35 Performance Reporting While there were no matters referred to the Prison Officers Arbitral Tribunal during the reporting period, four new matters were referred to the Police Arbitral Tribunal. The Police Arbitral Tribunal also continued to deal with a 2005-06 housing matter, which is anticipated will be resolved during the next reporting period. Priorities for 2009-10 Implement the outcomes of the review of PSEMA and review of subordinate legislation and associated policies to ensure the NTPS legislative framework is contemporary. Streamline conditions under the general NTPS agreement to achieve consistency where practical. Continued development of measures to improve the human resource and industrial relations management capability within the NTPS. Finalise a recruitment and retention review. Finalise and implement the new NTPS Wages Policy. Develop parameters and commence negotiations of new workplace agreements for general NTPS employees, Power Water employees, teachers and educators, firefighters, medical officers and Police Housing. Monitor and assess implications of the Commonwealths new Fair Work Act and implement appropriate responses for both the public and private sectors. Monitor and make submissions in the Commonwealth Governments award modernisation process. Oversee the implementation in the NTPS of the Commonwealths Paid Parental Leave scheme. Finalise a review of Executive Contract Officers arrangements. Monitor and implement appropriate responses in the NTPS to: the H1N1 Influenza outbreak Care and Protection of Children Act and Public Interest Disclosure Act.
