Office of the Commissioner for Public Employment Annual Report 2008-09 76 Strategic and Contemporary Human Resources Job Analysis Questionnaire/Job Evaluation System training Community and Public Sector Union delegate training and Selection panel training Financial Training Procure Goods and Services Occupational Health and Safety Fire Warden Training Information Technology Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point courses and TRIM training. Study Assistance Employees are encouraged to apply for study assistance, which includes full or partial reimbursement of completed units depending on desirability, and paid leave to attend lectures and final examinations. The OCPE supported three employees with study assistance during the reporting period, in the following areas: Bachelor of Psychology Bachelor of Social Science and Certificate IV in Business Human Resources Performance Management Performance Enhancement and Development Human Resources released a training calendar offering various development opportunities to OCPE personnel, including Microsoft Office courses, selection panel training and Job Analysis Questionnaire/ Job Evaluation System programmes. The OCPE continues to facilitate development opportunities through higher duties and placements in other business units or agencies to broaden employees experience. Reviews and Inability or Discipline Appeals In this financial year no grievances or appeals were lodged under PSEMA. Early Intervention The OCPE utilises the Early Intervention program with ergonomic workstation assessments being undertaken for employees. 11 staff participated in the flu vaccination program. Employee Assistance Program OCPE utilised the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) in 200809. Twelve staff used the services of EAP contractors. They included self-referrals, referrals by supervisors or managers, co-worker and family members.
