RATION.l'.LE AND CONt>IENTS This site was first sampled by ~"lD ES in December, 1978 (first flow). It was sampled by WP.B in 1978. The g<mge board 'tlas installed in Il.pril, 1978. Some AAEC samples were taken at the site. ARNHEH HIGH\'iiW CP.OSSING - CORcfDORL CREEK:- This sampling point on Corndorl Creek serves a similar purpose to RSP 1177, ho\.;ever this point includes water from a number of other tributaries. Flmv is similar in duration to RSP 1177. This site was first sampled by vm ES in February, 1979 (first flow). It ~7as sampled by WRB in 1978. The gauge board was installed in April, 1978. Some ~~EC samples were taken at the site. CORNDORL BILL.'\BONG:- This is a backflow billabong on Corndorl Creek adjacent to l\1agela Creek. It is expected to be an indicator of the final water quality of Corndorl Creek before entering ~!agela Creek. This is a permanent waterhole and may tend to become eutrophic towards the end of the dry season. This site was first sampled by WD ES in November, 1978. It .vas sampled by 11RB from 1971 to 1978. The gauge board was installed in April, 1978. Some ~~EC samples were taken at the site. UPSTRE.~1 NAB&~LEK:- This site is on Cooper Creek irr~ediately upstream of the Nabarlek project site. It is intended to gauge the water quality before it passes by the Nabarlek site. Flmv is only for 6-7 months of the year. The site may not be sufficiently upstream of Nabarlek for a good control point but no other sites are available. This site was first sampled by HD ES in Decembe:c, 1978 as recorru-nended by the 1978 Jabiru Workshop. It was not sampled by ~"~RB.. Pluvio. and gauge board were installed in October, 1977. Some AAEC samples wa:>:e taken in the a~ea .. DO\~~TSTREA.1 NABARLEK:- This site on Cooper Creek is J.rnntediately dor, qnstream of the Nabarlek prcject site, and is intended as an indicator of any pollution from the site. Like NimbU\Jah (RSl' 39lD), the site contains water only for 8-9 mo:1ths of the year, and flovlS only 5-6 months of the year ..
