Are there any apologies? (1) Dr. Kirke (2) Mr. Baskerville Would someone move the minutes of the previous meeting? Moved Harry Portlock seconded Bob Black. What I attempted to do, was to collate the information in a summary in the minutes and then provide a transcript at the end. Mr. Mitchell requested that the information be recorded, in preference to leaving it on tape, I attempted to put it in transcript and you will probably find that some areas of comment with names alongside them, may not be who they were, but to the best of my ability I have extracted it from the tape. I would appreciate any comments on the minutes if I can improve them in any way, particularly from the last meeting. Mr. Chairman, can I say that I thought this was an excellant record of what actually went on, what a good record it was, there are a lot of good things that carne out of that meeting that are now recorded that probably would never have made the minutes of the meeting, but are now in this transcript, I thought it was an excellant idea. Any business arising out of those minutes? Mr. Chairman, may I ask Mr. Mitchell whether or not the Town Planning Authority considered the letter that was sent. Mr. Mitchell requested that I chase that matter up. It seems that the letter to the Director of Lands was not received by the Director because there was a change of Directorship at that particular time and the letter went missing. It was requested by the secretary that a copy of the letter be given to the Department of Lands office in Alice Springs to make sure it went to the appropriate committee, the Flood Plain Management Committee. That committee has met and the letter was supposedly addressed. I requested that a reply to that letter be forwarded for this meeting last Monday when I spoke to the Director Southern. There has been no further correspondence. Next meeting of the Planning Authority is on the 13th May. I do not attend Planning Authority meetings Mr. Chairman, but I receive the information back through the Aldermen who do attend the meetings, and they tell me that there has been no mention of it as yet.
