Some areas of dolomitic pavements and outcrops occur. Main vegetation community: Terminalia arostrata, Lysiphyllum cunnighammii, Eucalyptus tectifica mid-high open-woodland (mid-high woodland) with annual Sorghum spp. tall tussock grassland. Great Soil Group: Uthosols, siliceous sands, calcareous sands Land unit with similar vegetation: 4C Associated Vegetation Types: Areas of dolomitic outcropping ~e platforms) with pockets of soil may support Strychnos lucida/Z"lZiphus quadrilocularis open-forest (community 8). Slight dolomitic rises may support Hakea arborescens mid-high woodland (community 39). Bare areas with short grasses and forbs (Similar to Land unit 5C) also occur. Communities contained within this Land unit (from site data): 14,-19,20,32,35,36,40,60 Land unit 4c Area: 145 km' Main geology: Pbu Distribution: This community is found on steep low hills. Soils are lithosols. Areas of bare rock platform occur. . Main vegetation type: Terminalia arostrata / Eucalyptus tectifica mid-high open-woodland with tussock grassland understorey. Great Soil Group: Uthosols, siliceous sands, calcareous SEnds Land-'Jnits with similar vegetation: 4b Associated Vegetation types: Elements of the 'karst' landscape Qccur within the unit, with Strychnos lucida open-forest. Terminalia canescens/Cochlospermum traseri low woodland also occurs. Acacia Iysiphloia tall shrubland (found on land unit 4d) may also occur. Communities contained within this Land unit (from site data): 6,18,19,20,36,42,57 Land unit 4d Area: 688 km' Main geology: Pbt Distribution: Found on low rolling hills and rises, particularly to south of Bullita homestead. It also occurs on dolomitic hillocks between the plateaux. Soils are lithosols derived from fine grained sandstone, dolomitic siltstone or dolomite. Slopes vary between 1 and 6 degrees. Main vegetation type: Acacia Iysiphloia tall shrubland with scattered emergent Eucalyptus tectifiea and/or Eucalyptus terminalis.
