7. CONCLUSIONS AND RECO~illENDATIONS 1. It is concluded that the 1957 flood event and the Model flood having an Annual Exceedence Probability of 1 in 100 are similar in magnitude. 2. It is recommended that the modelled 1 in 100 flood (Discharge 5700 ro 3 /s, Peak Gauge Ht. 19.27ro) be adopted as the designated flood for planning purposes. This is similar to the 1957 event currently being used as the designated flood. 3. It is recommended that f,lood maps of the 1 in 100 flood be submitted to the Flood Plain Management Committee for adoption. Draft maps have been modelled 1 in100 flood, prepared, based on and the 1957 record. the The levels are generally from the model, but where the 1957 record is higher, levels have been modified accordingly.
