INTRODUCTION The Department of Transport and ~Alorks {T&W} request,ed in Septernber 1993 that ~la ter Resources Di vision (;~"D) of the Pov;e1..~ and Water Authority conduct an in~lestigation 1,~~ith the aim of drilling 1:WO production bores on the Stuart Highway and one on the Delamere Road to provide water for road maintenance operations. Of the bores on the Stuart HighT.t;ay, T&W requested that one be drilled approximately 40krn south of Nataranka and one 40~"1' . south of Larrimah (subse~~ently named RN29012 and 29013). The Delamere Road bore {RN29090; '.'las to be sited approxirnateli-~ 45k:n north of Top Springs. Location maps are i.:1cluded 'with the bore comple~ion reports. l--. desktop st1.ldy was conducted followed by field reconnaissance during ;,'lhich potential sites y'lere pegged and access checked. Drilling and bere constructi()n \-'Jere unde::ccaken in Decernber, 1993 followed by test pumping in JanuaDJI 1994.
