I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I 2.0 TERMS OF REFERENCE The Terms of Reference are set out on the Department's Investigation Brief of April, 1985, and are as follows: (1) Collection and collation of existing data (2) Site inspection of existing assets and production of a profile of the system including relevant technical data and deteriorated and/or undersized components (3) Analysis of operational records and population data to determine the town's requirements currently and up to the year 2000 (4) Systems analysis (5) Identification and evaluation of options (6) Development of preliminary estimates, including initial capital works and ongoing operations/maintenance costs (7) Protection of the supply source from potential urban industrial pollution (8) \~ater quality treatment with respect to chlorination and fluoridation (9) Condition of the system and existing capacity under peak and fire flows (10) Consolidation of the Investigation into a report~ 2
