On the 28th of October 2010 I had the pleasure of experiencing the last Mindil Beach Market of the year. This is a true asset to the Darwin community, drawing thousands of people to the Mindil Beach front. The market is a multicultural feast for the senses; the smells of Asian cooking mixed with the sea side drifts through the air, sounds of Mick's whips cracking and echoing among the tree tops, buskers and spruikers and children laughing and the warm rays of the setting sun casts long shadows across the walkways. The market is a showcase of Darwin's finest arts and crafts and delicacies.
