CHRISTOPHER BRUCE BURNS. the Minister for Land and Planning, in pursuance of section II of the Place Names Act, approve the recommendation contained in a report by the Place Names Committee that the roads and park shown bold on the plan appearing in the Schedule be named Woodlake Boulcvard, Crowson Close, Shad forth Park and Hcdley Place, as indicated on that plan. Dated 23rd April. 2004. C. B. BURNS Minister for Lands and Planning SCHEDULE NOTE: WOODLAKE BOULEVARD so named as it reflects the nature of the Estate; CROWSON CLOSE SHADFORTH PARK HEDLEY PLACE 11120 named in commemoration of pastoralists William Arthur Hall Crowson (d.1935); William John Crowson (1907-1984); William Brian Crowson (d. 1972) and families; named in commemoration of Henry (Harry) Cecil Shadfonh, Mail Contractor, Pound Manager and Lease Holder (Springvale from 1924 providing meat and vegetables to Katherine) (Auvergne from 1935); and named in commemoration of G R Hedley - in 1886 he and Nat Buchanan were the first drovers to pioneer the hazardous Murranji Track from Newcastle Waters to Victoria River Downs.
