NT Short Story Anthology Call for Submissions Closing 13 August The Northern Territory Writers Centre invites quality, open-theme short fiction in any genre to 3000 words. This NT Writers' Centre anthology is funded by Arts NT. Contributor fees will be paid. Email for submission guidelines. E: executive@ntwriters.com.au 2010 Portrait of a Senior Territorian Art Award Closing 1 September Territory-based artists are being encouraged to submit entries to the 2010 Portrait of a Senior Territorian Art Award. The Northern Territory Government acknowledges the significant and valuable contribution that senior Territorians make to our community with this award through the exhibition which highlights the achievements of older Territorians and encourages excellence in artistic expression. An Acquisition Award of $5,000 is being offered for the winning original portrait of one or more senior Territorians. A Peoples Choice Award of $1,000 is also being offered for the artwork that receives the highest number of votes from the public. Artist applications for the 2011 Darwin Festival are now open exclusively for NT artists and art makers. In particular, we are looking for: - Projects involving collaborations with artists in various art forms - Indigenous artists and projects - Youth projects - Projects using multimedia This callout is for proposals and ideas that are either a work in progress or in the early stages of formation. If you have a completed work or a ready-for performance piece that suits the categories above, the Darwin Festival is also interested in hearing from you.
