To be eligible for assessment a tender must be lodged on time and must include all of the required schedules completed in full. To be successful your tender must be competitive and demonstrate clearly why it represents value for money to the Territory. Each selection criterion is given a predetermined weighting. These will vary depending on the requirement. Weightings for Tier 4 and 5 requirements are disclosed to assist tenderers to understand the relative importance of each criterion. When completing the Response Schedules you should always detail how your offer addresses the relevant criteria explaining the benefits and value for money of your offer: Past Performance Summarise your work as a contractor, past experience and credentials for this job. Local Development Local suppliers or sub-contractors utilise and/or how your proposal impacts on jobs/training for Territorians. Timeliness Detail when and how goods and/or services are to be delivered and provide a timetable Capacity Demonstrate your business skills, experience of similar work and employee's responsibilities if you win the contract. Demonstrate how the project will be managed. Total Cost of Much more than the "up front" Ownership/Whole purchaseprice is taken into account of Live Cost (eg. cost of repairs, maintenance, consumables, spare parts, local service facilities, warranties). Expected life and disposal value may also be relevant considerations. It is important to remember that the assessment panel members may not be familiar with your business and not to assume prior knowledge. Don't keep it a secret.
