It is a time to reflect on the past years events and to share with family and friends the joys of the Festive Season. Despite the economic climate, Darwin Probus has had a very successful year with well attended meetings, very informative speakers, and visits to such interest- ing places as the Museum and Art Gallery and the Air- port Bureau of Meterology. In addition we also enjoyed a visit from our Patron , His Honour, the Administrator, Mr Tom Pauling AO QC. There were two special presentations from our Members, Dot Chapman on her Holiday of a Lifetime, and Minh Williams about Vietnam, her birth country. The Special Interest Groups were very successful throughout the year with good attendance at the Dining Out nights, the monthly Movies, the Post Meeting Luncheons and the Darwin Tripe Club. In addition bi-monthly Tours were introduced this year, which proved to be highly successful thanks to members Ted Bryan and Eean Thorne. I will close by wishing each and every one of you Seasons Greetings for 2009 and may you all enjoy a Holy Christmas and a Prosperous New Year. I look forward to sharing and enjoying with you a superb Christmas Feast at our traditional Christmas Lunch on 2nd December 2009. On behalf of the Darwin Probus Committee may I wish all Darwin Probus Members, their family and friends a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Cheers, Neil.
