Super Coach The Gun Gunderson what the coach has to say... The Tiwi Bombers ended the minor rounds of the 2009 / 10 AFLNT season winning its sixteenth game for the year by beating a spirited Nightcliff who were looking to take something away from a season that promised so much for them. In what was a scrappy affair to start with, I thought the players were able to find the right gears and eventually the machine began to tick over. With Donald Mungatopi again good down back and with partner Roy Farmer, the pair have become a real Bat man and Robin combination across that back half line. Add to that I thought again Jordan Doering was a very good player for the Tiwi Bombers just being that steadying influence down back. Through the midfield again the Tiwi welcomed back Tony Van Rooyen and Blake Holmes who both put their bodies on the line at every contest. Simon Munkara was at his best with his creative disposal and just shows the composure of a top line player in this outfit, with Camden Vigona Ross and Nathan Pilakui all playing their re spective roles. Gerard Cunningham, Roy Kantila and Ephrem finished off the good work that was being done up the ground with Courtney Johns, Joel Smouha and JB all doing a fine job in the ruck at various stages of the contest. But I thought the night belonged to Wayne Pilauki ,who really did control proceedings down back. Wayne has trained hard over the past month and half and it is just starting to come to fruition for him. With some much needed fitness under his belt the man they call Joe Joe is now covering the ground and getting to the contest where he is most damaging. Congratulations to all the award winners on Saturday night. What a wonderful evening we all had, I think that every single one of us can be very proud of the club that we have built this year. Thank you to everyone that as sisted with the organisation and set up (Players included) of the evening that made the night such a special event. Thanks especially must go to B2M for really making the night a real success. A big thank you must go to Brian & Jennifer Clancy for all your efforts, not just on the evening, but also through out the year so far. No body will ever know what a tremendous support you have both been for me since I have been back home and I will never be able to repay you for that. Now we look forward to the finals and what that has install for us. We look forward to seeing players such as Ed ward Darcy, Patrick Heenan and Bradley Palipaminni all back in action, with spots in the 22 becoming tighter and tighter to hold onto. So the message from here on in, to the players, is simple: "Book your ticket now - get to training, do the work and do not miss the boat because from here on in, family, we are playing for keeps".
