. . . . . . .. .. 2009 Structural Review of NT DET Delivering the Goods 25 March 2009 32 Coherence Recommendation 2 (COH2): Strengthen the current School Cluster organisational model of DET (by establishing stronger regional structures to be applied consistently across all Territory schools). Two specific recommendations have been identified specifically relating to the regionalisation of DET. COH 2a: Further regionalise support structures to schools (via specific Human Resource functions, leadership development, teaching support in curriculum, pedagogy and assessment, specific finance and budget functions, Indigenous education expertise and student services support). COH 2b: Align service delivery support with overall DET regional structure. Figure 8: Proposed Regional Office Structure The proposed regional structure outlined in Figure 8 includes three main functions, to be coordinated by regional offices (headed by Regional Directors). First, each regional would consist of a Corporate team designed to provide support to schools and the regional office itself in five main areas: 1. Human Resources; 2. Teaching and Learning Support; 3. Indigenous Education; 4. Leadership Support; and, 5. Student Services.
