19 Terry Dreier, Strategic and Financial Planning Analyst and Executive Director Corporate and Strategic Services Terry joined the department in December 2001, following the merger of the various agencies into the Department of Justice. Prior to joining Justice, Terry had worked as a management consultant in Darwin and had played a strategic role in the establishment of the Northern Territory Legal Aid Commission in the early 1990s. His management experience includes 19 years as practice manager for a Brisbane firm of solicitors. Terry holds a Master of Business Administration and a Doctor of Business Administration, awarded by the former Northern Territory University. Donna Dreier, Executive Director Legal Services Donna rejoined the Department, taking on the position of Executive Director, Legal Services, in February 2003. She had previously served as the Director of the Litigation Division of the Solicitor for the Northern Territory until 1998, when she left to join the Darwin private legal profession. Between her current appointment and prior service with the Attorney-Generals Department, Donna worked as a solicitor with Cridlands Lawyers for five years, where she was made a partner in 2000. Donna holds a Bachelor of Laws awarded by the University of Queensland and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Queensland Institute of Technology (now QUT). Donna is currently on extended sick leave and Sue Oliver is acting in her position. Richard OSullivan, Commissioner of Consumer and Business Affairs Richard was appointed Commissioner of Consumer Affairs 2000 and subsequently became an Executive Director with Justice following the amalgamation in October 2001. His extensive experience with Northern Territory Public Service over 20 years includes management roles with NT Development Corporation, NT Tourist Commission and most recently, Manager, Policy and Development with the Northern Territory Tourist Commission. In his earlier private sector career, he held personnel management and research roles. Richard holds a Bachelor of Economics awarded by Monash University. Chris Cox, Acting Executive Director Court Support Services Chris has been Director of Court Support Services since March 2004 and has acted as Executive Director since April 2006, in the position vacated by Greg Shanahan. Chris has held a number of senior management positions within Courts since 1988 including Sheriff of the Northern Territory from 1995 2002, Director of the Magistrates Courts and Tribunals in 1998 and again in 2005-06. Chris is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Laws at the Charles Darwin University. Tony Fitzgerald, Anti-Discrimination Commission Tony has lived in Darwin since 1978 and has always shown a keen interest in human rights. He practised law in the Territory for 17 years in a variety of positions including solicitor for the Northern Australian Aboriginal Legal Aid Service, Deputy Director of the NT Legal Aid Commission, proprietor of a legal practice and self employed barrister. He was the Senior Mediator and Coordinator at Resolve Family Mediation Service for four years. He is currently a member of the NT Law Society, and a member of the Community Justice Centre Consultative Forum.
