50 Court Support Services Future Directions Develop an access policy for all Northern Territory Courts. The policy will provide information on access, charges and availability of courthouses for use by the public and other Government agencies. Develop a communications strategy focusing on external stakeholders and internal communication. The policy will focus on improving the delivery of information and policy and improving communication channels between the courts, the public and court employees. Develop a cross-jurisdictional training program for court Registrars that will enable senior staff to competently undertake duties of Registrars in regional and remote areas. Review jury education procedures. Upgrade prisoner docks at the Supreme Court. Further develop Indigenous and remote strategies and services. Facilitate regular micro-skills sessions for the professional development of mediators. Participate in the implementation of the national accreditation proposal with the National Accreditation Committee to set national standards for mediators. Work towards becoming a registered mediation training body under the new accreditation scheme. Annual Report 2005 2006 / Performance Reporting
