Submissions, photos, articles etc. are always welcome. Items can be left in the Log box at the Club or emailed to chilman@ozemail.com.au On the Back page During the Patrons Handicap a UTYA yacht t-boned a dingy in the moorings and sank it. Is nowhere safe? The Patron is well looked after during the Patrons Handicap. Last year he won the event and presented himself with the trophy, this year it was merely a winch handle lost overboard. Fortunately it floated and was picked up by an off the beach cat. Andromeda (flag ship of the Vice Patron) didnt start in the Patrons Handicap, something to do with a lost prop and the crew member who retrieved it unwilling to reattach it while under water. 65 boats started in the Shell Island race on 23 June. Who were the (of) fenders between the Australian Navy Ship and Stokes Hill Wharf during the Shell Island Race? The Navy werent impressed and complained. Does Chesty Bond need a new mast? Something always seems to go wrong when there are new (female) crew on board. This year saw a calcutta run on the Tasars and Lasers in the NT Championships for the first time. There was very spirited bidding on some of the boats. A short note from the sailors Bar (and we mean short, the dry season is here and the staff barely have time to scratch themselves.) We would like to welcome back Murray and Captain Col to the Sailors Bar, it was a quiet start to the year without them. Farewell to lucky Bianca. She is off to Switzerland for six weeks to visit family. The Bar staff would like to thank Bill for jumping in and helping out when times get really busy, and the members for their patience during this busy time of the year.
