The Race Club hosted five races on the day which included thc . Yachties Class I Handicap . Darwin Sailing Club Open Handicap. and the Fannic Bay Rcgatta The winner ofthe Darwin Sailing Club Open Handicap was Clenside Mick. Congrarulations to owncrs Mrs D Sclwood and Mrs Pam ,q.nsell who were presented with their trophy by our Commodore Barry Stach. The event was enjoyed by those who attcndod. A special thanl(s to those organisations who provided prizes in our Owners Competition on the day Carlton Ansett Australia Schweppes Orlando Wyndham Driltwood Beach & Casual Wear Davies Sports Store, and thc Waterlront Bistro, The cvent itselfprovcd a grcat winner fbr the DSC. Ihc only problem was some peoplc trying to go tkough the window and not the entrance to our f'unction. Seen following thc concert on the Sundal, evening were scvcral mcmbcrs ofthe DSO, Rita and Martir Jarvis enjoying thc rclaxcd atmosphere ofthe Club. 1997 Membership renewals lbr be sent out in early November. We hope doing this will assist you in paying early, prior to Christmas. Thcrc are some great prizes to be won in the Early Bird competition and also for nominating a new member.
